OnePlus 7 Pro Launched: Redefined in Every Sense!

Well, it seems OnePlus has pulled off yet another redefining smartphone launches of all time. The most awaited seventh series of the line-up was launched globally following a keynote given by the respective heads across London, New York and Bengaluru. The company reportedly released several videos building up to the launch which was evident hints of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The Flagship OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a flamboyant edge to edge design with its 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display. It has a QHD+ screen capable of 90Hz refresh rate which is quite an unheard feature in the smartphone category.  It’s powered by Snapdragon 855 chipset coupled an optional RAM up to 12GB and comes with a RAM Boost feature which pumps up the gaming experience. It has 10-layer liquid cooling technology and runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Oxygen OS 9.0 on top. Additional features include a Fnatic gaming mode, In-display fingerprint sensor, Dolby stereo speakers’ setup and a Zen Mode that only lets you receive emergency calls and take photos to mitigate your smartphone usage.

The back houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with a 7-element plastic lens with EIS support. There is also an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture, 1μm pixel size and OIS that offers 3x loss-less zoom. Along with this, there is a 16-megapixel 117° Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens that has an aperture of f/2.2 aperture. Top packs a pop-up 16MP front-facing camera that the company claims to be tested for over 300,000 times and quickly sides back inside when it detects a susceptible fall.

The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back without a stated IP rating for the water-resistant coating. It has a more prominent 4000mAh battery unit that supports the new Warp Charge 30 Fast Charging (5V/6A) that can charge from 0 to 48% within 20 minutes which is 30% more faster than before.

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes in three colour variants dubbed as the Nebula Blue, Mirror Gray and Almond colours. Its priced at Rs. 48,999 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version costs Rs. 52,999 and the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage version costs Rs. 57,999.

The 6+128 GB, 8+256 GB versions in Mirror Gray will be available via Amazon.in, OnePlus.in, OnePlus partner stores, Reliance Digital outlets, MyJio stores and Croma outlets from May 17th. The 8+ 256 GB, 12 + 256GB in Nebula Blue will be available from May 28th and the 8+ 256 GB Almond version will be available in June.
