OPPO A7: Top 5 things that make it stand apart from crowd

Ever since its foray in the Indian smartphone market, OPPO has always managed to be ahead of the curve in terms of its offerings. This year was no different as the brand was one of the early adopters of the waterdrop display trend with the OPPO F7, launched the highly-innovative Find X and then introduced a handset with a tiny water drop screen in the form of the OPPO F9 and OPPO F9 Pro. And if you think that the OPPO F9 siblings are out of your budget, then the brand’s latest, the OPPO A7, will certainly get your attention. The handset not only offers an immersive viewing experience but brings several interesting features to the table. So let’s take a look at the top 5 that make it a worthy buy.

A 6.2-inch display

As we mentioned above, the biggest highlight of the OPPO A7 is its almost bezel-less display. The screen measures 6.2-inches and only features a small water drop screen up top and a small chin at the bottom. With a resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and 19:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone offers crisp visuals, making it an ideal option for consuming multimedia.

A 4,230mAh battery

While we’re at the topic of multimedia, you must be wondering that you’ll need to carry a powerbank with you to ensure that the phone lasts through an entire day if you watch a lot of movies or TV series. But you couldn’t be more wrong as the OPPO A7 ships with a powerful 4,230mAh battery. The battery lasts more than a day of use easily. You can also extend the battery life by enabling the power-saving mode.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 and 4GB RAM to take care of the performance

As far as the core specs are concerned, the OPPO A7 can easily handle whatever you throw at it. The device draws power from the Snapdragon 450 octa-core SoC, which is clocked at 1.8GHz. The chipset is paired with 4 GB of RAM, and the combination offers smooth experience even while gaming.

You don’t have to worry about storage either, as the OPPO A7 comes with 64GB of memory. And if you need, then you can also top it up further with the use of a microSD card.

Dual rear cameras

OPPO has made its name in the camera department, so it’s no surprise seeing the OPPO A7 continuing that trend. At the back of the handset, you’ll find a pair of 13MP and 2MP shooters, which ensure good-looking images along with the portrait mode. For selfies, the OPPO A7 offers a 16-megapixel snappper. Of course, you get AI capabilities to enhance the images further.

Versatile ColorOS

All this is supplemented by the fact that the OPPO A7 ships with a user-friendly and feature-rich ColorOS. Based on Android Oreo, the UI comes with a number of options such as the ability to use navigation gestures, use volume button to capture photos, scan text and more. There’s Game Space as well to ensure that you can play your favourite titles distraction-free. Personally, we really like the ability to play audio from a video, allowing you to continue working on whatever you are doing. Another interesting feature is Smart Sidebar, which brings up frequently-used apps by a simple swipe on any screen.
