OPPO Mirror 3 is a mid-range budget device by OPPO. It comes with attractive body design and impressive camera performance. The smartphone is   just priced at 16,990 INR. Let us check out if the smartphone is a worthy buy?

Design and Display:

It has candy-bar shape with curved rear body that makes it comfortable to hold in one hand. The rear has glossy surface which makes it a little slippery but its compact body helps to grip perfectly.

The rear panel has OPPO logo written under the camera and LED flash. The speaker of the device is at the bottom. The front panel has mic on the top beside the front camera. The capacitive buttons are under the display.

The 3.5mm audio jack it at the top and the microSD card slot is at the bottom of the smartphone. The volume rocker keys and the power key are on the right edge. The dual-SIM slots and the microSD card slot is inside the rear panel.

Display:

The OPPO Mirror 3 comes with 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1280×720 pixel resolution (331 ppi). The display of the device is good but not so impressive. The screen can be displayed under the sunlight, also the viewing angles of the device is good. The screen id protected by corning gorilla glass 3 protection.

Hardware and Software:

The smartphone is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. It comes with 8GB of internal memory out of which 4.9 GB of free space is free for the user. The memory can be expandable up to 128GB.

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Color OS 2.0 on the top. The OS given by the company is light and simple to use also it works perfectly without any lag.  Yes it comes with bloatware which is a negative point of the phone.

The OPPO Mirror 3 has dual-SIM card slot with 3G connectivity. Other connectivity option than these are OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

Camera:

The rear camera is of 8-meagpixel with f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. The performance of the camera is really impressive. It shoots good images in daylight as well as in log light mode. The image captured contains a good amount of detail and colour reproduction. We really impressed by the low light performance of the camera.

The front camera is of 5-megapixel for selfies and is capable of taking good selfies.

Performance:

The benchmark performance of the device in AnTuTu and Quadrant Standard are 20223 and 11493, which is good with the given specs.

The device shows a descent performance and we didn’t find any type of lag on simple use. If you do high multitasking on the device then it will give a pop up of clean memory regularly.

Games like Subway Surfer and Candy Crush works good but high end games like Asphalt 8 lags a lot.

The battery performance of the device is good and lasted for 10-11 hours with regular use, if you are a simple user it will run a whole day without charging. The performance is really impressive with the 2000mAh battery.

The call quality of the device acceptable, but we find some call drop in it. The sound and video performance of the device is also good.

Gizmo Verdict:

If you just want a good camera smartphone under 20K it’s a good choice for you. But if you want more than just camera you could have better options than these in the market.
