OPPO just launched their new OPPO Reno series smartphones in India. The company took the drapes off their new OPPO Reno 10x smartphone at a launch event in Delhi.
The Reno series seems to be a new branding initiative targeted towards a new lineage of devices offering attractive design language, shark fin pop-up camera and Notchless Panoramic displays. The company launched devices from the Reno series back in China last month. The flagship among the two being the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition comes with the beefiest Snapdragon 855 chipset while the normal Reno settles for a moderate Snapdragon 710 chipset.
The feature list looks to be pretty daunting considering the price point as it packs a list of extensive specs. The Reno 10x Zoom comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ (1080×2340) AMOLED panel that offers a solid 93.1 per cent screen-to-body ratio that is flanked by the latest version of Gorilla Glass 6 and bundles an in-display fingerprint sensor underneath. Back too gets the same treatment of a 3D curved Gorilla Glass 5 and screams premium all over.
Taking about the show stopper, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Edition gets a triple camera setup of 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 13MP telephoto sensor. The unit is capable to render 10x Hybrid zoom thanks to its Periscope Telephoto lens and a dual OIS image stabilization. It comes with an Ultra Night Mode 2.0 and the usual AI camera goodies like Natural AI beautification, Enhanced Bokeh mode and Dazzle Color Mode packed into it.
The Reno 10x comes with a shark fin-like pop-up selfie camera that swivels around in a mere 0.8 seconds and houses the 16MP selfie sensor. The Reno 10X packs a beefier 4,065mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The device comes with Android Pie out of the box with Oppo`s own ColorOS 6.0.
The Reno 10x Zoom employs three different cooling technologies in the form of a cooling gel, triple graphite layer and copper pipes that significantly reduces the device temperature by almost 13%. Significant features include a Dual frequency GPS, Game Boost 2.0 and a Dolby Atmos diver system for immersive sound.
