Samsung Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s Launched: AMOLED Display, Powerful Processor & an All-Day-Battery Life

Samsung India just launched its all-new Galaxy A50s and Galaxy A30s smartphone in India. These smartphones borrow some cool features form their flagship counterparts such as Night mode, Super Steady Video, Samsung Pay and a powerful new processor that delivers superb gaming performance through a dedicated Game Booster technology. Both sport a design that is rather unique with its geometric pattern ingrained underneath the holographic effect on the back. The devices also support a build quality that is sleeker and sturdier at the same time.

Our coolest new Galaxy A50s and A30s have been designed to elevate the smartphone experience of young millennials and Gen Z to the next level as they are equipped with premium features such as Night Mode, Super Steady video & Samsung pay,” said Ranjivjit Singh, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing, Mobile Business, Samsung India. “These new smartphones empower the users to remain on-the-go and thereby encapsulate the philosophy of ‘Ready for Live’ for the Gen Z,” he added.

Galaxy A50s

The Galaxy A50s packs a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display that is equipped with an on-screen fingerprint sensor beneath the panel. Powering this device is an Exynos 9611 (10nm) chipset that comes in optional 4/6GB RAM. The smartphone includes a dedicated Game Booster mode which uses AI to increase gaming performance and frame rates. 

The camera setup includes a powerful 48MP primary sensor, 8MP Ultra-wide camera (123°) & a 5MP live focus lens. These lens setups allow for great low light shots with the Night mode and make for some smooth video shoots using the super steady mode. The app also provides helpful tips and tricks such as Best shot suggestion, intelligent scene optimizer, document scan feature, Hyper lapse, etc. The front camera is also a solid 32MP unit with an f/2.0 aperture.   

The A50s comes with a 4000mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging technology. Security is also taken care through the inclusion of the Samsung Knox which allows the user to complete transactions using the secured Samsung Pay (card payments through NFC only).

Galaxy A30s

The Galaxy A30s, on the other hand, offers a 6.4’’ HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity V-Display that is equipped with an on-screen fingerprint sensor beneath the panel. Company claims, this display offers a truly immersive viewing experience under all situation. It’s powered by an Exynos 7904 processor with 4GB of RAM and optional 64/128GB of storage. The smartphone offers a dedicated Game boost technology for enhanced frame rates and performance boost while gaming. It packs a triple camera setup of 25MP primary, 8MP Ultra-Wide camera, 5MP depth camera on the back, while the front-facing camera comes through a robust 16MP (f/2.0) unit. 

The A30s too packs the similar 4000mAh battery unit with 15W fast charging technology which should last an entire day. Additional features include Samsung Knox Security, Samsung Pay, and support for Dolby ATMOS speaker setup.

The Galaxy A50s and the Galaxy A30s comes in three unique colours – Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White and an all-new Prism Crush Violet.

Priced at ₹16,999 – 4/64GB

  • The devices will be available for purchase starting September 11, 2019, across leading online channels and offline channels such as Samsung Opera House.

Offers

  • Jio users can enjoy Double Data on the ₹198 and ₹299 plans (maximum:12 recharges).
  • Airtel users can enjoy Double Data on the ₹249, ₹299 and ₹349 denominations (maximum: 10 recharges)
  • Vodafone and Idea users can get a Cashback of ₹75 on recharge of ₹255 through MyVoda App MyIdea App (maximum: 50 recharges, Total Cashback ₹3,750). Also, customers will get an extra 0.5 GB Data per Day for 18 Months.
