Samsung added a new member Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (SM-G800H) to Galaxy S family. It is a smaller version of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 flagship phone. The smartphone comes with 1.4GHz quad-core processor running on 4.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 720×1280 pixels. It comes with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 64GB.
The Galaxy S5 mini sports 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash which can record up to 1080p. It also has 2.1MP front facing camera. It comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKat with TouchWiz UI on top of it. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC powered by 2100mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 mini is similar to its Galaxy S5 as it has Finger Scanner for security, Biometric Screen locking and Mobile payments and Heart rate Sensors. It has IP67 ratings for Dust and water Resistance. Dual SIM option will be available for 4G LTE variant only. The Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will be available in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold colours. It will go on sale in Russia this month but no word on global launch. The price of S5 mini is still a suspense :(.
