Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Launched: Snapdragon 855 Plus, Infinity Flex Display, Dual Camera starting ₹1,09,999

Unpacked 2020 saw the arrival of Samsung’s most ambition foldable smartphone after the Galaxy Fold launched last year. The Galaxy Z Flip is the outcome of the learnings derived from the Fold which majorly fixated around some issues present in the flexible hinge mechanism.

The company claims to have resolved these pertaining issues with the new 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. This Ultra-Thin Glass technology called the Infinity Flex Display is touted to last folding cycles upwards of 2,00,000 folds which are quite impressive. There is also a secondary 1.1-inch display on the external edge which serves to provide pending notifications and quick selfies. The most noticeable feature this time around is a dedicated ecosystem that takes advantage of the “Flex Mode” to split the apps in half where one side can be used to show the content and another side to control the content.

The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The lens setup comprises of 12MP Super Speed Dual Pixel camera, a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera with HDR10+ & OIS, while the front packs a 10MP unit. Lastly, there is a fingerprint sensor on the side to provide secure access and a minuscule battery pack of 3300mAh that is expected to last an entire day.

Pricing and Availability:

The Galaxy Z Flip is priced at ₹ 1,09,999 and will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow on Samsung e-shop and select retail stores. Additionally, buyers from Samsung e-shop will be offered premium white glove delivery in 10 cities.
