Sony Xperia M2 Aqua with Waterproof body and Android 4.4 launched

Sony Xperia M2 AquaSony launched its latest smartphone Sony Xperia M2 Aqua with tagline ‘waterproof smartphone for everyone’. The specifications of Sony Xperia M2 Aqua are same as Sony Xperia M2 which was launched few months ago in India. It comes with 1.2GHz quad core processor powered by Adreno 305 GPU. It has 4.8-inch qHD display with 960×540 pixels running on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Sony claims that this is the highest dust-proof and waterproof rating (IP65/68) in a smartphone. It can resist up to 1metre water.

The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua sports 8MP rear shooter with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor, 1080p video recording and 0.3MP front shooter. It has 1GB RAM with 8GB onboard storage which is expandable up to 32GB. Connectivity options include 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 820.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and 2330mAh battery power.

The Sony Xperia M2 Aqua will be available in Black and White and Purple colours and would roll out in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe in Autumn 2014.
