Timex, a household name in watch industry just decided to take the road less travelled. The company followed the suit laid by brands such as Fossil, Fastrack, Garmin as they forayed into the smartwatch market. The company just announced their new iConnect Active smartwatch which hopes to redefine a breed of smartwatches specifically aimed at fitness enthusiasts.
The watch comes with a 37mm graphical color display built within a lightweight design and sturdy form-factor. It includes a built-in optical heart rate sensor which facilitates activity modes such as Step Tracker, Calories Tracker, Sleep Monitoring, Sport Mode, etc. Users could also control their music using the smartwatch to play and pause the songs. Moreover, the smartwatch keeps you up to date on the latest weather reports, emails, texts, calls or any social media updates.
The iConnect Active smartwatch will be introduced in five varied color options called the Black, Silver, Navy and Rose Gold and Lilac.
