Top 5 features of the OPPO Reno 2

OPPO has been known for bringing innovative features to its smartphones, but with the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom, the brand took that approach to several notches above. And now, just in time for festive season, the brand has announced new models in the Reno lineup. The most powerful offering in the new Reno series is the Reno 2, which comes with some powerful features. So let’s take a closer look at what all makes the OPPO Reno 2 special.

A design that will turn heads

With smartphones boasting glass-back designs, and gradient finishes, it’s difficult to set them apart. But OPPO’s Reno 2 manages to do that effortlessly, all thanks to an intuitive implementation of a module at the back which surrounds the OPPO logo and runs vertically. You have to see it to believe it, but it offers an LED-like shimmering effect, which seems quite stunning. That’s not all however, the design is quite seamless too, which is what we discuss in the next section.

High screen-to-body ratio

An all-screen front is important to have an immersive viewing experience, and while brands are adopting the notch or punch-hole, OPPO is continuing with its unique mechanism for hiding the front camera. Yes, when you look at the OPPO Reno 2, all you see is a large 6.55-inch Panoramic display, which makes watching movies enjoyable. And the front camera also elevates in style, hidden inside a shark fin pop-up module.

Brilliant cameras

The Reno 10x Zoom got its name for its unique capability of offering 10x zoom. Well, the Reno 2 offers 20x zoom, which is even more impressive. The smartphone achieves this with a periscope mechanism on its 13MP telephoto shooter and an 8MP wide-angle shooter with 116° wide to capture a landscape or shoot from a confined space. You do get a 48MP primary camera with the handset, which is available on most flagships these days. But OPPO hasn’t stopped at just that. The Reno 2 gets two more 2MP mono sensors for style filter for wider range usage scenarios. All that translates into impressive images across situations with the Reno 2’s quad-camera setup. To offer better images in low light, the device comes with an Ultra Dark mode. Not just images, the phone also comes with several modes for enhancing video functionality, including Ultra steady mode and bokeh effect for videos. Talking about selfies, the device features a 16MP sensor in rising shark fin camera, which offers great images.

Powerful hardware

The OPPO Reno 2 is among the few phones in India that make use of Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 730G chipset. The octa-core process is mated to 8GB RAM, ensuring lag-free usage, irrespective of what you’re working on. Simply put, it’s the ideal device for all those PUBG lovers. For storage, there’s 128GB of memory onboard, which should be able to meet your needs quite well.

Great battery life

There’s no doubt that the OPPO Reno 2 is a capable all-round offering, but what makes it even better is its solid battery life. All thanks to its 4,000mAh unit, the device doesn’t require you to charge it during the middle of the day. And when you do need to charge it, you can make use of the VOOC 3.0 Flash Charge to fill it up quickly.
