Top mid-range Smartphones under 20,000 in India

The time for purchasing a great smartphone under 20k is now. For those willing to splurge their hard-earned money on a unique smartphone that fulfils their need with a slight degree of premium-ness is what we are looking for at this price-point. Don’t get bogged down with details as we have crafted this review to suit your conditional needs without compromising on performance and battery life.

Keep in mind that the phones are listed in no particular order.

OPPO K3 – What you see is what you get!

We begin this list with the Oppo K3 which stands as one of the earlier entries in this price bracket. As soon as the device was launched, the Oppo K3 sales shot through the roof for this value for money proposition. The device shares much of its specs with the Realme X as it comes with a similar 6.5-inch display, Snapdragon 710 processor and a 3765mAh capacity battery. The similarities don’t end there, and the design language is identical with its flamboyant looking colours exuding a sense of class to the overall feel. The device handles everything from everyday apps to some hardcore gaming with exceptional ease and also manages to hold its camera reputation together. The focus comes in quickly making way for quick snaps and works well under low lighting conditions due to its dedicated Night Mode on offer.

Samsung Galaxy M30s – Dependable Companion

For those looking for a reliable and sturdy smartphone that can handle all your daily tasks such as binge-watching, a bit of social media, some light gaming, the Galaxy M30s is an ideal option. The 6.4’’ AMOLED display blows the competition out of the water with its crisp visuals and bang-on saturation levels. Another aspect where the M30s shines is in the camera department as the device comes with a triple camera setup of 48+8+5MP sensor that captures somewhat lifelike shots under all circumstances. While the Exynos 9611 isn’t as fast as the Snapdragon 710, it does hold for certain mid-range activities like surfing the web, light gaming, and for the most part all play store apps. All this, coupled with a massive 6000mAh battery, ensures a solid day worth of gap between following charges. This makes the M30s one of the most dependable and noteworthy option in our list.

Redmi K20 – Media Consumption Powerhouse

The Redmi K20 is easily the most coveted smartphone under the sub 20K list out here. The smartphone comes with blazingly unique colours options that complement the fantastic looking edge to edge screen. Powering this device is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset which is both power modest and performance beast of a chipset we have encountered lately. It handles gaming at max setting pretty well, which goes for the intensive apps running in the background as well. The camera performance isn’t all too exciting despite its 48MP shooter, but overall usage was found to be agile at best. Battery life is especially remarkable as we always managed to gain a day or two worth of use via just a single charge worth of time. All in all, the device is a great companion for those heavy smartphone users who couldn’t keep their hands off their equipment for just a second.

Samsung Galaxy A50s – Best Binge-Watching Experience

The Galaxy A50s is the slightly updated version of the A50 launched earlier this year. The new device now receives an improved set of the camera lens, which works great in daylight and low lighting conditions. The 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen is one of the best displays in our list which makes this device our top pick for binge-watching. What we didn’t like is the Exynos 9611 processor which despite its update from the Exynos 9610 does little in regards to performance. The smartphone runs moderate apps without a hitch but struggles to provide a decent fps on the excellent gaming experience. Lastly, the 4000mAh battery is just strong enough to make the smartphone a worthwhile one.

*This list has been created in no particular order and is based on the devices that we’ve tested and reviewed, and hence might miss out on some worthy options that we haven’t used ourselves.
