Garmin has just announced its all-premium smartwatch for the Indian consumers in today’s event. Recently we have seen the Apple Watch Series-4 and now this seems to be a major rival to it. The watch is known as the Garmin Fenix 5X Plus and is meant for athletes and adventure loving folks. This is the most premium smartwatch we have seen from the brand till now. Fenix is also the first smart device to have a wrist-based Pulse Ox sensor to track blood oxygen saturation awareness at higher altitudes. Let’s dive a little deep into it.
The Fenix 5X Plus offers inbuilt GPS and it can store up to 500 Songs which is a boon for music lovers. The smartwatch is equipped with top-end sensors including a gyroscope, 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter, multi-satellite(GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo). The watch has a super premium design and is constructed of PVD coated stainless steel with a scratch-resistant Sapphire lens on the top. It has a silicone watch band and a user gets a huge variety to choose from. It houses a 1.2(inch) Garmin Chroma Display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels.
