KitKat update!
Gionee has been taking a lot of time to roll out their latest updates to their devices. Their flagship device was also one of the late comers to be called as the KitKat running smartphone, but indeed the time taken was for the bits and tweaks Gionee had micro managed for the OS which greatly enhanced the user friendliness and smoothness in operations.
Finally Gionee has managed to release their upgrade to their smartphones, the Pioneer P4, which had been waiting for a long time. But for the users, have a look at the customizations Gionee had made for the best experience for them, they would also know that the time taken served them right enough.
The new Android KitKat version will offer simpler, faster and more spontaneous ways to use the device with a host of new features for seamless user facilities. The Pioneer P4 is set for a revamp in terms of its user interface, applications and layout. With the new user interface design there will be enhanced features like an updated Amigo paper and game zone, wall papers application, improved security and more.
The major improvements to the KitKat upgrade for the P4 has been listed below
1. New Desktop layout.
2. Added Touchpal keyboard input method for faster and more efficient typing experience.
3. Updated Map with only one entrance into the main menu.
4. Updated Amigo paper with a brand new UI design.
5. Updated Game Zone with a new UI design.
6. Updated GioneeXender for optimized performance and further improved the linking success rate.
7. Updated UC browser with optimized UI and page loading effects.
8. Updated NQ mobile security for better protection of your phone.
9. Updated Kingsoft Office for more efficient work and study related operations.
10. Added two games: Hitout Heroes and TexasPoker.
11. Updated Wechat with new interactive interface for smoother communication.
12. Removed the world cricket champion and Real football game.
13. Theme and wallpaper will be reset to default after system update, but data will not be lost. Simply re-apply chosen theme and wallpaper.
The changes listed above are the major ones that we are going to see, also Gionee has done a lot tweaks inside the OS to improve the performance of the device and keeping the device security updated.
