Priya’s Shakti is India’s first comic book which is based on sexual violence and was launched recently. It covers the the sexual abuse or violence suffered by woman and supported by Blippar – the world’s first augmented reality platform and visual browser. The comic introduces a new Indian hero who tackles the problem of sexual violence in India and around the world. Now here comes Blippar with augmented reality app which gives innovative and interactive window for readers and makes it interesting.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Arnav Ghosh, Regional Director, Blippar said,

The comic book is inspired by ancient mythological tales, it tells the story of Priya who is gang-rape survivor, a mortal woman and the Goddess Parvati as they figh against gender based sexual violence in India and outside world. It is supporting the movement against patriarchy, misogyny and indifference.
The Priya’s Shakti comic series is free worldwide in every digital format. It is downloadable on official website, ComiXology and BitTorrent. The printed comics will be available at the comic book convention in Hindi and English, but eventually will be translated into other languages. Rattapallax, a literary publishing house and film production company based in New York City and New Delhi, is producing the entire project.
