Swipe Elite Max Review

Max is housed with everything you need!

Swipe Elite Max

Swipe Elite Max is the best smartphone till by the company. It offers high end specification like 4GB of RAM, Fast Charging, Elegant metallic body and Fingerprint sensor. All of it with just a price tag of 10999 INR. The phone seems a promising deal with the given specification at good price. Let’s check out if really worth to buy?

Design and Build:
The Swipe Elite Max offers a candy bar shaped metallic unibody. The design is good and seems classic. The shiny metallic edges gives it a premium look. Both the rear and front panel bears a 2.5D curved glass. However the surface is bit slippery and often slides off.

The 3.5mm audio jack is at the top edge while the microUSB port and speakers are at the bottom side. The volume rocker and power key is are at the right side of edge.

The smartphone seems easy to use via single hand but the metallic body makes it a bit heavy to hold on. The overall design seems similar to the Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus with just a bit improvement in size. Overall the design and build quality is good and sturdy, just the weight factor breaks its charm.

Display:

The Elite Max features a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. The display is crisp and vibrant. Quality is good but they start to hurts the eye with long usage. The display can be seen under direct sunlight and with different viewing angles.

Hardware and Software:

It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The handset packs 32GB inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card.

On the software end, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The OS seems quiet smooth and has very min bloatwares in it. However without any custom UI it looses its charms to use. For me it was unattractive, maybe some users will like it. It offers 25GB of free space out of 32 and around 2.5GB of free RAM out of 4GB. supports a hybrid dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) configuration.

Performance:
The Swipe Elite Max has a very good touch response. It is handy to use and easy to multitask. It switches apps smoothly. It handles everything with ease, I was surprised by the performance.

As per benchmark, it scores descent points on AnTuTu and Quadrant Standard like 44088 and 21583. The scores are not the best but good as per the specification. The gaming performance is good, but the high end games kike like Modern Combat 5 lags sometimes. There was minimal heating issue while continues game play and while charging.

The fingerprint sensor works fine and easy recognisable. It is easy to unlock the smartphone.

Battery:

It houses a massive 3000mAh of battery which gives a battery backup of 15 hours with moderate usage. The battery performance is good. With minimal usage, users can use it for more than 1 day.

Camera:

It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF (phase detection autofocus). The camera performance is good and it captures good amount of detail in it. The images are bright and colourful. How ever the brightness is bit high in some shoots. The focus timing of the camera is a bit low. The usage is quiet smooth and friendly for the users. The low light performance is average but with flash one can take better images with a bit of changes. It also sports an 8-megapixel front camera. The captured selfie is pretty with good details.

Gizmo Verdict:

The Swipe Elite Max is a good smartphone in terms of design, build and specification. The smartphone has good usage qualities. Its not the best in the class but definitely worth with the specifications. You can go for it if you need a durable and sturdy smartphone with good battery life.
