Lenovo reintroduced its new Ideapad laptop series in India with Lenovo Ideapad 330. The Laptop comes at an attractive price tag of Rs 75,490. It houses an 8GB of DDR4 RAM and an Intel Core i7 Processor in the heart. We got the laptop before the launch for review and here are our thoughts on this laptop.
What does it offer?
Lenovo Ideapad 330 offers an Aluminum Metallic Body with Smooth rubber finish at the bottom. It is powered by Intel Core i7-8550U CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and AMD Radeon 530 GPU for Graphics. The laptop offers 8GB of RAM which can expandable up to 16GB too. Also, there is 1TB of inbuilt storage.

Apart from the specifications, it comes with additional features like 1-year Accidental Damage Protection on redemption, 1-year free McAfee Live Safe support and 1-year Onsite Warranty. It also a has a special body which prevents accidental hinge damages and a sleek uni-body chassis with the special protective finish. The laptop has a faster data transfer with the reversible port for select series and a faster Wi-Fi protocol.
How does it look?
The Lenovo Ideapad 330 laptop we got was silver colored and it looks premium and classy. The edges were smooth and curved. The top finish was smooth and has Lenovo written over it. The bottom part was black in color and it has rubber for better grip. The keyboard buttons were well spaced and the trackpad has got a bigger space for control. It comes with back to the past connectivity which is Ethernet port and a DVD drive.
How’s the performance?
The laptop is simply great for day to day life usage. It offers great usability, firm grip and very smooth performance with all. We used it as our primary device for the day today writing, playing movies and for web browsing, and everything was good. It also has a great multitasking ability so you don’t need to worry about your 100 of chrome tabs or several applications running at the bottom. Lenovo Ideapad 330 handle everything with ease.
Lenovo Ideapad 330 has 1TB of inbuilt storage but users won’t get all of it. When you’ll look in My Computer, you’ll see that there’s only a single C- Drive and it only has 970GB of space out of which few are already used by the windows itself. So, you may need an extra hard disk if you save a lot of data.
The AMD Radeon 530 GPU also offers good help if you want to play mid-range games in the laptops. We played games like Need for Speed Shift, Far Cry 3 and Tomb Raider 2013 in it and we didn’t get a single lag in our gameplay. The Dolby Audio integration works very well and the sound reproduction we got on this laptop was amazing.
The battery capacity of the Lenovo Ideapad 330 is good and enough. It offers almost a full day battery life if you simply use it for writing and browsing. It’ll offer 5 hours of battery life if you watch movies on it. So, the battery ability is pretty decent. There’s no fast charging here so it takes almost 2 and half hours to fully charge the device.
Gizmo-verdict
The Lenovo Ideapad 330 offers good specifications and decent design. However, we feel the price is higher than it should be. Although the performance is great it can’t justify the price tag of Rs 75,490. The concept of reintroduction is great but it should be of greater value.
