Realme, a Shenzhen based smartphone manufacturer known for their budget-oriented devices just announced their X series lineup. The company delivered on their promise by launching a much-awaited top of the line “no compromise” device dubbed as the Realme X.
The Realme X has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display made by Samsung with a slim 2.2mm border at the top and a 1.62mm ultra narrow bezels on the sides offering an overall 91.2% of screen-to-body ratio. Internals include a Snapdragon 710 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and a 128GB UFS 2.1 storage without microSD card support. Besides face unlock, there is a sixth gen In-display fingerprint sensor underneath the display that supports DSP acceleration technology which to facilitate faster unlocking. It utilizes a clever new gel cooling technology that reduces the temperature by 15.2% in one hour.
The camera unit is a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with AI scene recognition and a 5-megapixel secondary camera depth sensor for clicking portrait shots. The phone has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 pop-up front camera that can launch in 0.74 seconds. The company claims the elevating mechanism to be tested more than 200,000 times. It has a gradient plastic back with an S-shaped curve. It packs a 3765mAh battery that supports the latest VOOC 3.0 fast charging through its USB-C port housed at the bottom.

The Realme X will come in two colour variant named as Steam White and Punk blue. It is priced aggressively at 1499 yuan (US$ 219) which translates to roughly 15K for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 1599 yuan (US$ 232) roughly Rs.16K for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs 1799 yuan (US$ 261) roughly Rs.18,000.
The company also launched a Master Edition designed by Naoto Fukasawa– a reverent industrial designer in Japan. It comes in two unique colour scheme named the Onion and Garlic White priced at 1899 yuan (US$ 276) approx. Rs. 19,000.
The Realme X will Indian shores soon, however, there isn’t a launch date up yet.
