Following the purported launch of the premium Yoga S940 and Yoga A940, Lenovo also updated their IdeaPad line-up. The new upgrade equips the IdeaPad S145, S340 and S540 laptops with the latest gen processor and fast charging support.
IdeaPad S145
The new IdeaPad S145 now comes with a 15.6-inch FHD display, powered by an optional latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565 / Intel Pentium / Intel Celeron processor, with optional NVIDIA graphics, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 2×1.5W speakers with Dolby Audio, Windows 10 Home, and all the necessary connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, 2 x USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, 4-in-1 card reader, Headphone, etc. It packs a battery that delivers the use age time of 6.5 hours.
IdeaPad S340
The new IdeaPad S340 offers a yet slimmer form factor and comes with an optional 14/15-inch display. It can be bought with a range of processor options, going all the way to Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 processor. While RAM can be beefed to a max 12GB with optional storage settings of your choice. It offers an additional carbon fiber finish alongside the colour aluminium finishes. It also has support for AI-powered Amazon Alexa and Microsoft Cortana.
IdeaPad S540
The updated Lenovo IdeaPad S540, on the other hand, offers updates that are similar to the other two. The S540 can be prepped up with the latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with graphics lend by NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPUs or AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor with Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics. The company claims to offer up to 12 hours of battery life, which can be charged with their new Rapid Charge technology, that enables 2 hours’ worth of usage within a charge time of 15-minute. The IdeaPad S540 will be available in both 14- and 15-inch (1920 x 1080) versions, with RAM size upgradable up to 12GB, and storage limit that can be pumped up via a massive 512GB SSD.
