Dyson is one of the premium brands that exist in the market offering reliability, stylish looks and high tech features. Dyson has a long history with vacuum cleaners and undoubtedly are pioneer in this segment. However,  today we will be talking about the ageing model Dyson V8 absolute; does it performs well enough with the competition currently? Is it value for money? The model was launched in India in 2019-20.
We have already done a review of the Dyson V11 Absolute Pro, which is the predecessor of the Dyson V8 Absolute. The V8 is also a cordless dust-buster and maybe not be the newest model but has plenty of power along with Dyson’s renowned design.
Dyson V8 Absolute: Everything that it comes with and offers
The Dyson V8 Absolute is a powerful cordless vacuum in the Dyson Family. It can clean carpets and hardwood and can handle crumbs of food, and strands of dog hair. The attachments ensure the best usage of V8 Absolute. Its battery life maybe a little less than average but it gets the job done.
Design: The best thing about V8 Absolute is a cordless vacuum that lets you use it anywhere in the house or outside the house. It can do basic chores like suck down cobwebs or clean in between car seats with ease. It has swappable brush heads which are adaptable in different cleaning places. It is around 2.6kg so relatively light in weight compared to other cordless vacuum cleaners.
Battery Life: The battery life of the Dyson V8 Absolute last around 40 minutes, which can go down to 25 minutes when you are using motorized mode. If you use a hose attachment it will last 40 minutes after charging power, but in a standard motorized attachment, it will last much less. It takes around 4 hours to charge the battery completely of V8 Absolute.
Performance: The V8 Absolute is very much quieter compared to other vacuum cleaners including cord and cordless models. The Dyson digital motor V8 looks like a nuclear reactor, the motor spins up to 110,000 rpm. The main reason for this is the HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter, it helps in muffled sound and captures the allergens. The quieter vacuum cleaner means less disturbance to other people in the family.
The Dyson V8 Absolute runs on a Dyson digital motor V8 and can easily clean the carpets, and hardwood floor. It has the ability to clean small dust particles into long animal hair. The Dyson V8 Absolute cleans the floors more than before. Even we tried it on car seats and iron mesh nets and the results were impressive.
Pros: It is cordless, so you can carry it around anywhere within your home. It is easy to manoeuvre and much quieter when compared to other vacuum cleaners, being its biggest advantage. It comes with attachments that facilitate the cleaning of carpets, hardwood floors and removal of animal hair from upholstery, easily. It has Dual attachment heads and Useful added tool attachments.
Cons: The drawback of the Dyson V8 Absolute is the battery life as it can last up to 40 minutes with attachments without a motorhead brush. In the standard mode while cleaning it last around 25 minutes. You will later need to charge it for 4 hours to reuse it again.
The Dyson V8 Absolute comes with a premium price which also delivers top-notch performance when it comes to cleaning. Buying V8 Absolute is kind of investing in the premium home cleaning machine with an absolute value for every buck.
