One of the best budget entry level smartphone in Indian market!
The new Swipe Konnect Me comes with pretty good specs at very low budget cost. The smartphone gives you all the basic needs that a normal person who is not very addictive to it can have. Let’s check with the price tag of 3999 INR its worth your needs?
Look and Feel:
The smartphone has a basic body that can be able to fit in one hand. It has curvy edges and a good built body, although it is a plastic. The front panel speakers are at the top beside the front camera. The capacitive touch buttons are under the display screen.
The rear panel has rear camera at the top and has flash on the left side and mic at other side. Under the camera there is Swipe logo with its name and also there is Konnect written at the bottom of the body. The rear panel has slightly rough surface that makes it easier to grip in hand.
The rear panel can be removable and you can see the Dual-SIM slots there with microSD card slot. The Power button and the volume rocker keys are at the right edges also the 3.5mm audio jack port and microUSB port is at the top edge. The body of the device is little thick but not so heavy.
Display:
The smartphone comes with 4.5-inch IPS display with 800×480 pixel resolution. The display is not so impressive and we find it difficult to see and use, viewing angles of the device is not good and we even found it difficult to see under sunlight. The colour reproduction of the device is very low.
Hardware and Software:
The smartphone is powered by 1.3GHz 32-bit dual-core Mediatek MT6572 processor with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal memory but out of it only 4GB of free memory is available to use, also we can expand the memory via microSD card up to 32GB.
The Swipe Konnect ME runs on Android 4.4.2 OS. The UI of the Smartphone is good but there is lots of bloatware present which makes it slow. Other than this the device runs good but can’t be able to do multitasking high apps and demand for cleanup lot of times.
The device comes with Dual-SIM with 3G compatibility. Other connectivity option than these are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Camera:
The rear facing camera comes with 5MP performance is acceptable in daylight and gives a good amount of detail but in low light the image is not clear even with the LED Flash. The front camera is of 0.3MP for video calls only. The Camera app given lacks lots of things like HDR and Panorama features.
Performance:
The smartphone is good for simple use like calls, texting and music but if you are going to do more than these it will lag and give you trouble. Games like Subway Surfer and Candy Crush runs fine but if you’ll try to run Asphalt 8 it will lag a lot.
The Antutu and Quadrant Standard score are 11622 and 3565 that is not up to the mark for 1GB RAM segment device.
The call quality of the device is good and we didn’t find any type of call drop. The Sound and Video quality of the device is acceptable.
The smartphone comes with 2450mAh of battery that keeps the phone running for almost a full day. If you are moderate users it will give you up to 10-11 hours of battery backup.
Gizmo Verdict:
If you want a smartphone with decent specs at budget you can go for it but if you want more than just calls, messaging and internet you this is one of the best option under 5000 price segment.
