Lenovo A6000 Plus Review

The Lenovo A6000 plus is the upgraded version of Lenovo A6000 which was a budget smartphone. The upgraded features in this smartphone is its 2GB RAM. It comes with a price tag of 7499 INR which is slightly more than Lenovo A6000.

Build and Design:

In terms of design it is almost same as the predecessor from its weight, dimension and matte finish, everything is identical.

The front panel has Lenovo logo at the top under the mic and front camera. The capacitive buttons are under the display but lacks LED light.

The rear panel has Lenovo logo in the center. Rear camera is at the top left corner with the LED. The speaker is at the bottom are with Dolby logo in middle of the two.

The microUSB charging port and the 3.5mm audio jack it at the top edge of the phone. The power key and the volume rocker keys are at the left edge.

Display:

The Lenovo A6000 Plus comes with 5-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution with 294-ppi. These specs are same as the predecessor version. Display angles of the smartphone and the visibility of the smartphone is good.

Hardware and Software:

The smartphone comes with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor same as the predecessor but have upgrade in internal storage and RAM. The A6000 has 8GB internal storage and 1GB of RAM while A6000 plus ha 16GB of internal storage and 2GB of RAM.

It runs on same Android 4.4 KitKat wile Lenovo Vibe UI 2.0 on the top of it. The UI is good but comes with lots of Bloatware which gives users a little problem. The skins on the UI is colourful and vibrant.

The Lenovo A6000 plus is a dual-SIM smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity, other option available are Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.

Camera:

The Lenovo A6000 plus comes with 8-megapixel rear facing camera supported with LED flash.  The performance of the camera is acceptable. It take descent shoots in daylight and captures good amount of detail.

The captured images has good amount of colour, contrast and brightness. The lowlight performance of the camera is not up the mark but the flash manages to get a decent photo. The front facing camera is of 2-megapixel and takes acceptable photos and selfies.

Performance:

The smartphone is good in terms of performance with the upgraded RAM. I didn’t find any type of slowdown or lag in my test. The smartphone performs well in terms of multi-tasking and running apps.

Games like Asphalt 8 and Modern combat runs fine on this device, however the opening of games are bit slow. Also there is a slight heating issue while running heavy apps and games.

lenovo a6000

The benchmark test score of Antutu and Quadrant Standard are 21132 and 11574 which is more than its predecessor.

The call quality of the smartphone is good and we didn’t find any type of call drop. Sound and Video quality of the device is good and the Dolby speakers works fine.

The 2300mAh of the battery works fine and give a 9-10 hours battery backup with normal use. With moderate usage it’ll give standby time of 8 hours which is good.

Gizmo Verdict:

In terms of price and given specs it is a really good device. But the smartphone lacks in screen protection, camera and battery. I expected a little more quality in this range. You can go for it but if you want more you can go for Yu Yuphoria and Coolpad Dazen 1.
