Airtel partners with Celkon to launch 4G smartphone for Rs. 1,349

Celkon join hands with Airtel!

Airtel partners with Celkon to launch Celkon Smart 4G smartphone which supports VoLTE connectivity and has 24 Indian languages. It is the second smartphone by Airtel in partnership with smartphone brand after Karbonn. It will be coming for Rs. 1,349 and part of Airtel’s Mera Phela 4G Smartphone initiative. Airtel opens the door for multiple mobile manufacturers to join hands for this program, which will provide budget 4G smartphones at the price of feature phone.

It has the same plan of Rs. 169 which offers unlimited calling and 0.5GB 4G data per day for 28 days. Users have to continuous monthly recharge of Rs. 169 for 36 months and pay upfront amount of Rs. 2,849. Customers will get Rs. 500 cash back after 18 months and Rs, 1000 cash back after 36 months (which sums to Rs. 1500).

One more option available to the buyers if they don’t bundled the plan , they have to recharge of Rs. 3000 must be done in the first 18 months to claim Rs. 500 and another Rs. 3000 over the other 18 months to claim the rest Rs. 1000.

The Celkon Smart 4G will go sale through the mobile store and sales support will be taken care by Celkon through their service network.
