HMD Global finally launched the much-awaited Nokia 9 PureView in India. The root cause of anticipation was the highly coveted Penta-camera setup. The device will be available starting July 10 on Nokia.com and Flipkart for a price tag of ₹49,999. Colour options include a single Midnight Blue.
The Nokia 9 PureView gets a 6000 series aluminium frame with Gorilla Glass 5 on both the sides. This premium glass design comes with the crisp 2K pOLED display that measures in at 5.99-inch and comes with Nokia`s own “PureDisplay” technology. This technology offers HDR10 support which results in crisp details, deeper contrasts, richer colour for streaming quality content.
On the inside, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset which the company claims to handle the imaging processing quite well. The device runs a stock version of Android 9.0 Pie and comes with a 3,320mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The smartphone comes with Qi wireless charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Coming to the main feature, it comes with the world’s first Penta-camera ZEISS Optics that captures every detail with its 12.4 stop dynamic range and 12MP depth mapping. It flanks a two-colour sensor unit which renders vibrant colour reproduction and shaper overall detail. The camera units are an array of 12MP f/1.8 sensors that simultaneously shoot images and combine them to create a single shot. The imaging data comes in at around 60MP which can be edited as raw images in the Adobe Lightroom app or Google Photos right away. The Camera UI offers a sophisticated amount of control on the settings which makes it best for camera buffs.
