OnePlus 7T & OnePlus TV Launched: 48MP Triple Camera Setup & an All-New​ Smart TV

The new OnePlus 7T marks a new era in smartphone for the company, as it brings the pure love to Android 10 OS right out of the box. This device also includes some fair bit of tangible updates in the camera & the cosmetics department. 

The changes include minor tweaks to the touch and feel of the device with a body measuring in at just under 8.1mm. The body has been reworked to feel refreshing & emits a mesmerising radiance colour gamut under a light.

The 7T packs a 6.55-inch AMOLED Display with an aspect ratio of 20.9 & a response rate of 40ms. The display can now match a peak brightness of 1000nits and includes the always-on buttery smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+ for engaging YouTube and Netflix experience. There is a new dedicated Chromatic reading mode which turns down the colour saturation for effective reading sessions.  

The most noticeable change comes in the form of a triple camera unit mounded underneath a Monocrystalline diamond bump on the back. This triple camera setup includes a 48MP Wide sensor, 117-degree Ultra-wide sensor and a 2X photo lens on the back, while a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. For all vloggers out there, OnePlus has decided to equip the camera lens setup with an Ultra-Precise Gyroscope with electronic image stabilization for super stable videos. Camera modes include a Portrait mode with 2X Zoom, Macro lens mode & a High Dynamic Nightscape mode. 

It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ with UFS 3.0 storage & the latest 3rd generation of Warp Charging 30T technology which charges the device 23 per cent faster than the OnePlus 7. Additionally, the 7T brings a yet immersive experience with its gaming stereo speaker system & a Haptic feedback technology. There is also a work-life balance mode which pings notifications as per the categories such as work apps and home apps.   

The company provides an additional 5GB of cloud storage for pictures & files. OnePlus also taunted their upcoming OnePlus pay for a single stop point to take care of all your transactions. 

Pricing & Availability:

The OnePlus 7T comes in two unique texture called the Glacier Blue and the Frosted Silver. The 7T will be available in two storage options priced respectively:

  • 8GB + 128GB for ₹37,999 
  • 8GB + 256GB for ₹39,999

The smartphone will be available for purchase from September 28 @ Amazon.in, OnePlus.in & the company’s experience stores across the country. 

OnePlus TV

The company also entered the smart TV arena with this new custom build Anti-Glare QLED 55inch TV. It features the world’s highest 120& NTSC colour gamut with its new Gamma colour chip. It renders, what the company claims to be a true Clear, Natural & Smooth colour one could get from television. 

It features technologies such as Dolby Vision technology, De-Contour, Color Brightening, Super Resolution, & MEMC technology which bumps up the frame rates to 60fps. The back of the TV to looks visually appealing with beautifully crafted carbon fibre finish design. Leaked specifications suggest the TV will be powered by a MediaTek MT5670 SoC with Mali-G51 GPU, 3GB RAM and a Gamma Color Magic processor. 

Sound quality has taken the centre stage with the OnePlus TV as it comes a Dolby Atmos eight-speaker setup of two rear-firing speakers and six front-firing speakers. The six front-facing speakers include two tweeters and four high-quality speakers with a combined effect of 50W output. When turned on the soundbar slides from beneath the TV for a greater aesthetic feel in under 7 seconds.   

The remote to look rather unique without too many buttons & a minimalistic design approach. It features various functions that can be accessed via the Oxygen Play Casting function available on OnePlus smartphones. Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa has been added for hands-free voice control. Television is powered by the latest Android TV OS with promised upgrades for up to three years.  

OnePlus TV Pricing:

The OnePlus TV Q1 will be priced at ₹69,900 & the Q1 Pro will be priced at ₹99,900 respectively. It too will be available for sale starting 28th September online on Amazon and OnePlus offline stores across country.
