Vivo U10 Smartphone Launched: 6.35’’ Screen, Snapdragon 665 Processor & 5000mAh battery with 18W Fast Charging

Vivo just announced their new U10 smartphone in India. This new series stands similar to the strategy implemented by Samsung with its M-series. The online-only offering follows the recently launched Z series as the company hopes to enter the price-sensitive online arena with all guns blazing. The company is taking a feisty approach to entice the audience by gearing up for the upcoming Diwali season in India.

“Vivo is all set to reinforce its presence with the launch of a U-series for the price-conscious consumer”, said the company.

The U10 comes with a 6.35-inch HD+ IPS display with a waterdrop notch on the front, all packed underneath a 2.5D Glass body. The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 665 (11nm) processor coupled with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage. As expected, the device runs the company’s own FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9.0 pie which could be easily upgraded to the next generation of Android. The camera spec is rather rudimentary with a 13MP (f/2.2) sensor, 8MP Ultra-Wide sensor (f/2.2) and a 2MP unit on the back. The notch, on the other hand, includes an 8MP front-facing camera with all the software goodies.

Security includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for ease of access and an optional feature for face unlock. The battery takes centre stage with a massive 5000mAh battery that can be quickly charged via an 18W charger included in the box. The company claims that a charge time of a mere 10 minutes can last for 4.5 hours’ worth of use.

The U10 marks a combined effort between Vivo and Amazon, as the smartphone has been developed for millennials through customer insights metrics shared by Amazon.

Pricing & Availability:

The Vivo U10 comes in colour options called the Electric Blue & Thunder Black. The device is priced at ₹ 8,990 for 3GB+32GB variant, ₹ 9,990 for 3GB+ 64GB variant and ₹ 10,990 for 4GB+ 64GB varian. The U10 will be exclusively up for grabs on Amazon.in starting September 29.
