Xiaomi finally launched the updated Redmi 7A in India. The device is priced at ₹5,999 and will be available via sale starting July 11. The Redmi 7A taunts to be the most affordable yet capable smartphone in the entire Indian market. With such a lucrative price tag, it directly competes with the likes of the Galaxy M10 and Nokia 2.2.
The specs sheet of this device includes a 5.45-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) display that comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with 2 gigs of RAM. It runs the latest version of MIUI 10 build on top of Android 9.0 OS.
Highlight include a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 lens camera which promises top-notch image quality given the price point. On the other hand, the front-facing camera is a decent 5MP unit that includes the AI beautification tech and faces the unlock feature. It packs a modest 4,000mAh battery that can be topped with a 10W charging brick and includes P2i splash-resistant coating. The company is also bundling two years’ worth of warranty, especially for Indian customers.
Redmi 7A Pricing and Offers
Redmi 7A price in India starts at Rs. 5,999 for the base 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant, while its 2GB RAM + 32GB variant comes in at Rs. 6,199. The phone comes in three colour options, namely Matte Black, Matte Blue, and Matte Gold colour options.
The introductory offer includes a Flat Rs. 200 discount on both Redmi 7A variants. The Redmi 7A will go on sale in the country starting 12 pm (noon) IST on July 11. It will be available for purchase through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores.
