Thee Me 3s offers good specs and shatterproof display for its asking price!
iVooMi has recently brought smartphones with a shatterproof display in the budget segment. The iVooMi Me3s comes across as a good smartphone that offers a shatterproof display, 3GB of RAM and 13MP camera at just 5999 INR. The new smartphone manufacturer is slowly building its reputation under budget segment. Let’s see how it has worked during our short usage.
The smartphone features a plastic body with a 2.5D curved glass over its 5.2-inch HD display. The rear cover is removable and offers a SIM card slot is inside it. The design is pretty basic but the curved edges and antenna lines give it a classy look.
The display is bright and sharp enough for the usage, although I felt the sunlight readability is a bit poor. The front panel consists of a camera and a sensor at the top, while the three capacitive buttons are below the display. The screen is shatterproof, and during our use, it fell off quite a few times and came out unscathed.
The iVooMi Me3s is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek processor with 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box along with its own preinstalled skin. I personally didn’t like the skin as it gives me a feel of an older version of Android OS. The multitasking performance of the device is good, although the touch response is a bit laggy.
The gaming performance is not top-notch. While simple games run smoothly but Asphalt 8 lags a lot. The audio and video quality is average. There is no fingerprint sensor provided in the smartphone. The 3,000mAh battery gives decent talk time of 8 hours.
It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera which shoots good images. The quality is not the best in this range but still good enough to take casual shots. The front camera is of 5MP which takes average selfies. The camera section also offers a lot of customisation tools.
Overall, the iVooMi Me3s is a decent phone to have if your budget is too tight, especially if you’re looking for durability factor. However, it faces tough competition from the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A and Moto C Plus.
