Infinix Smart HD 2021 Review: The Best Budget Option?

Infinix is the brand launching non-stop smartphones targeting budget segment in 2020. The brand is already known for affordable smartphones, the Smart HD 2021 falls under the entry-level range.

Display and Design

The Infinix Smart HD 2021 has a plastic build with V-shaped pattern in the back. The edge to edge 6.1-inch HD+ display feels compact and handy. It has the power button and volume rocker on right panel, also 3.5mm jack on top which is a feature for the smartphone nowadays. The microphone. charging port and Speaker grill are placed in the bottom. It has a square-shaped camera module which fits perfectly in the back panel. It comes in three color options – Obsidian Black, Quartz Green, and Topaz Blue. It is a budget smartphone but doesn’t look cheap.

The Infinix Smart HD 2021 has 720p resolution with a waterdrop notch on top containing a 5MP selfie camera. The screen to body ratio is 85%. The smartphone has a tall design with the aspect ratio 19.5:9. And the offering of HD+ in the budget range you can’t ask more from the brand. It packs with a 5000mAH battery which is huge but at the same time doesn’t make the smartphone heavy.

Performance

The smartphone has a heartbeat of Mediatek Helio A20 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and it is a 12nm chipset. The device can handle the day to day task very easily and useful long hours of video calls, also who loves to consume a lot of entertainment.

Infinix Smart HD 2021 runs on XOS 6.2 based on Android 10 with Android Go edition. It has a 5000mAh battery which comes along with 6W charger in the box. A drawback can be micro USB charging in 2020 but honestly, the user in this price segment can compromise on that. We have tried and played few games, in which it handles low graphics games easily but also it handles COD which came as surprising fact for us. The Face unlock and the fingerprint sensor is quick as expected. The Antutu score for the device is 28224 and Geek Benchmark score 132 for single-core, 450 multi-core score.

Camera

The smartphone houses 8MP rear camera and AI lens with LED Flash. As mentioned earlier the smartphone has 5MP selfie shooter in front. Due to the AI capabilities of the camera app the pictures in the daylight came out well but it night it struggles and gives the grainy output. The camera in the price range is satisfactory.

Gizmo Verdict

Infinix challenges the entry-level smartphone every time, and Infinix Smart HD 2021 also makes the same impression. In INR 5,999 with the offering of 6.1-inch HD+ display, 5000mAh battery will definitely a good option against the competitors.
